Redefining Triathlon For Every Athlete

If you are UK-based, then the return of the IRONMAN World Championship to Kona was even harder this year… as it meant two very long nights into the early hours, with racing on both Thursday and Saturday in Hawaii. Are you still recovering from long-course, long- distance viewing?!

It was well worth the effort however, with fantastic performances and records from the Pro athletes headed by Chelsea Sodaro and Gustav Iden, in Paratriathlon from Thomas Frühwirth and Lauren Parker, and from the biggest Age-Group field yet.

Every IRONMAN World Championship features plenty of exceptional amateur athletes competing in the age-group ranks, and here I take a look at the UK and Ireland Female Age-Group results from Kona. ALL of them!

[You can find the men’s AG roundup HERE]

Below you will find two tables featuring the results of every entrant, ordered initially by overall time, and then by category in the second table.

(EDITORS NOTE: The full listing of GB & Ireland entrants was extracted from the official participants list pre-race. If there is an error or you are missing, then a) apologies (!), and b) that is probably why. Please do get in touch if that is the case (editor@tri247.com) and I’ll get things updated for you.)

Lawson leads the way

The fastest Brit was Anna Lawson. Finishing second on the 25-29 category, she was also the fifth fastest female amateur overall.

Anna was the overall winner at IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire this year, and her 9:56:55 time also meant that she improved by more than an hour and a half on her Kona result from 2019. Impressive progress.
