Aviemore Triathlon hosts Scottish National Cross Triathlon Championships in 2021

Durty Events, organisers of award-winning multisport events throughout Scotland, are bringing back Aviemore Triathlon on Sunday 19th of September 2021. Aviemore Triathlon takes place in the stunning surroundings of Cairngorms National Park. Both long and short courses enjoy an open water swim in the beautiful clear waters of Loch Morlich, followed by a trail cycle and trail run around the leafy Glenmore Forest.

Aviemore Triathlon 2020 faced the same fate as many sporting events this year with a last minute Covid-19 related cancellation. However, 2021 promises to be bigger and better than ever as the Scottish National Cross Triathlon Championship returns on the Long Hard Durty course. It will run alongside the Short Fast Durty course for those looking for something a little shorter and there’s a ‘non-competitive’ option for those looking for a challenge but less interested the pressure of an official time.

Entries are open now and prices start from £45 and event organisers encourage those looking to participate to sign up sooner rather than later, numbers are severely limited due to a high number of roll overs from the sold out 2020 event. For further information and to enter, please visit https://www.durtyevents.com/event/aviemore-triathlon/

Paul McGreal from Durty Events said: ‘After the disappointment of cancelling Aviemore Triathlon at short notice this year, we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to host the Scottish National Cross Triathlon Champs in 2021. Cross Triathlon is fast, exciting and adventurous and we know our athletes have a lot of fun taking part. We’re passionate about expanding this sport and getting people to experience it.’
